This initiative is a partnership between the Associação de Moradores da Praia da Leirosa residents’ association and the Associação da Amizade e das Artes Galego Portuguesa {Galician-Portuguese Association for Friendship and Arts}, which brings together various artists to create paintings and produce tile panels at select points in Praia da Leirosa.

It’s aim is to pay homage to the townsfolk and their traditions, thereby honouring the town itself. The project has been approved by Figueira da Foz city council and the Marinha das Ondas parish council, and Celbi is funding the phased production of the different paintings and panels, since such initiatives value and pay tribute to the locals and their traditions, while also contributing towards improving the town’s urban landscape.
