New governance model at Altri SGPS

As alterações no próximo mandato do Conselho de Administração passam por criar uma Comissão Executiva. Paulo Fernandes e João Borges de Oliveira, co-CEO, passam a desempenhar funções não executivas.

It was proposed at the 2020 Annual General Meeting that Altri should form an Executive Committee consisting of José Soares de Pina, Nogueira dos Santos and Carlos Van Zeller.

José Soares de Pina will be the Chairman of this Executive Committee. José Pina completed a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and has spent the last twenty years in management positions in several countries around the world at the Dow Chemical Company. His most recent post has been as Dow’s Corporate Strategy & Business Development Director for Asia and the Pacific.

Altri’s founders, Paulo Fernandes and João Borges de Oliveira, will leave their posts as joint CEOs, but will remain on the Board of Directors in a non-executive capacity, closely monitoring the transition process and providing all necessary support for as long as is deemed appropriate. Altri’s Board of Directors stated its utmost confidence in all the group’s employees in facing future challenges and offered its sincerest thanks for their commitment and dedication during this difficult time.
